The Grandmaster of Diabolism

Happy Sunday to all! Today I would like to share with you a new animated series that I recently discovered. The title of this series is The Grandmaster of Diabolism. It also goes by other names, but I will be referring to it as such for my post. At first glance it looks like Japanese animation, but this series was actually produced by Chinese animators. I must admit that I became hooked onto this series after watching the first two episodes; so much that I ended up binge watching The Grandmaster of Diabolism in the course of a few days. That final episode was truly jaw-dropping. Never before have I witnessed such intense scenes combined with so many elegant yet deadly and powerful fighting techniques. I loved the characters, animation style, music, martial arts, and magical techniques throughout this series. So I highly recommend that you watch The Grandmaster of Diabolism as an epic way to end the year.

Story Update

Good morning everyone,

This is another update in regards to the story that I am working on. Due to the length of my work, I decided it would be better to have it posted on a different site. The title of my story is The Philosopher of the West. It is based off a well-known Japanese animated series. I hope you will enjoy reading my perspectives on the series as much as I enjoy penning them out.

Yours truly,
Lyra

Blog Status 3

Hi all,

After much deliberation, I'm going to make my story into a work-in-progress instead of aiming to finish it by a particular deadline. This way I have more flexibility to write in new scenarios as they come to mind. With that being said, I hope to upload my first few chapters soon.

Yours truly,
Lyra

Blog Status 2

Hello everyone,

I wanted to provide an update. I am still working on my story. It is turning out to be bigger than I had originally planned, and I am very happy with the direction that it is going. My writing style kind of unconventional. Most writers will have a beginning, middle, and ending planned out for their works, but I started writing from the middle and working my way towards the beginning and end. That being said, my prologue, first chapter a.k.a. 'phase', and epilogue have been completed. I am currently working on the middle parts. Due to the length of my story, my plan is to divide it into two sections.

Thank you all for your patience.

Yours truly,
Lyra

Opening Night for Nature's Design

Hello everyone. Last week I had the pleasure of attending artist Lauren VanArman's art exhibition. It was a huge event with over 200 attendees! There was music, refreshments, and a jewelry modeling session. The Nature's Design exhibit is currently open to the public and will remain open until March.

A News Report

Hello everyone. A question that I posed to CNNMoney is currently being featured on its website. You can read all about it here.

Nature's Design - Artist Biography

Lauren VanArman is the owner of Time Zone Resource, LLC. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Supervision & Management with a minor in art. Her artistic training also includes study at Dreyfoos School of the Arts and an Industrial Drafting Certificate with a focus on 3D computer modeling. Areas of academic study include photography, life drawing, oil, watercolor, acrylic painting, pastel, printmaking, jewelry-design, 3D design, and blueprint drafting. She has been making wire jewelry for over 20 years and now fashions it into other 3D forms, namely insects.

Lauren has worked as a muralist, picture framer, calligrapher, sign painter, architectural and industrial designer, furniture/art/antique restorer, decorative painter, performance painter, in a bronze studio, in clothing design and fashion show organization. Inspiration for her artwork comes mostly from nature and the environment she is working in.

Her art has been exhibited at Jazz On J Street, Bohemia AG, Northwood, Armory Art Center, Arthur R. Marshal Loxahatchee Wildlife Refuge Center, Red Tapas Restaurant, Cabo Flats, PBSC Library, PBSC Art Gallery, Our Savior Lutheran Church, St. Catherine Greek Church, Dreyfoos SOA, South Florida Fair, JFK Hospital, private residences, and more. She continues to be actively in involved in providing artistic services for diverse charitable organizations.

This show is inspired by Lauren VanArman’s love of the amazing architectural structures found in nature. Growing up with two biologist parents has influenced her art and encouraged an expression of nature using a variety of wire jewelry and beading methods. Her background in architectural and mechanical drafting provides a way to plan and execute intricate insect structures in 3D forms. By integrating her understanding of their balanced proportions and colors with jewelry techniques she aims to add aesthetic value and draw awareness to the beauty of this part of the animal kingdom.
