The 51st Annual Gemstone, Mineral, Bead, Fossil & Jewelry Show
Hello everyone,
Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the 51st Annual Gemstone, Mineral, Bead, Fossil & Jewelry Show presented by The Gem & Mineral Society of the Palm Beaches, Inc. in South Florida. It was a phenomenal event with no shortage of attendees. Dozens of vendors from different parts of the state had gathered to display and sell jewelry, handcrafted goods, and other collectibles. There were demonstrations on jewelry making, jewelry art showcases, and a fossil exhibit with dinosaur bones.
My favorite vendor was We Rock Rocks. It was the only vendor that sold beaded bracelets and stone pendulums. I bought two pendulums and a bracelet. When I got home, I discovered that one of the pendulums could separate into a bracelet and a pendant. I attached the pendant to my necklace chain and I'm wearing the bracelet on my wrist. Kudos to We Rock Rocks for their products!
Here are some photographs that I took from the event. I'm looking forward to attending the 52nd Annual Gemstone, Mineral, Bead, Fossil & Jewelry Show next year!

GoFundMe Campaign
Karina is a dear friend of mine. Her family lost their home of 25 years in Puerto Rico. The house is flooded and uninhabitable. Karina's parents are temporarily staying with another relative, but no one has electricity. Food, water, and gasoline are scarce. Looting has already begun as people try to stay alive. Leaving the island isn't an option as there are hardly any outbound flights. Karina wants to send supplies to her family in Puerto Rico. So I have started this campaign to help her. Please help share this campaign. Many thanks!
Hurricane Maria
Puerto Rico experienced total devastation when Hurricane Maria hit. Right now, the entire island is without electricity. I'm making these neon and glow-in-the-dark bracelets to include in a care kit that will be sent to Puerto Rico.
Hurricane Irma
Hoping everyone is safe and sound from one of the most destructive hurricanes this year. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by Irma.
Update: Mr. Hamilton
Mr. Hamilton has been renamed 'Paco' and is still looking for a 'fur-ever' home. If you would like a lovable companion please visit Darbster Kitty and open your home to this sweet cat.

Good day to everyone,
Boba Milk Tea (and more) @ OoFusion
Happy Monday to my fellow blog readers,
One day while in the office, I overheard two of my coworkers talking about carrots and what to make with them. I suggested carrot juice, and then I got into the topic of boba milk tea with them. In case you are wondering, boba milk tea is an Asian drink made with tea (powder), milk, sugar, and chewy tapioca pearls. The tapioca pearls are also known as 'boba' and are a wonderful addition to milk tea. Boba milk tea is also called 'bubble tea'. The drink tastes great when chilled and served with ice. It originated in Taiwan and has become popular in the U.S.A.
I've been drinking boba milk tea for many years now but have never found a place close to my home that sold the drinks already prepared - until my sister introduced me to OoFusion. It's a shop that specializes in boba drinks, smoothies, slushies, teas, and dessert. I haven't tried any of their hot beverages yet, but the cold beverages are phenomenal! You can ask the staff to adjust the flavor of your drink if you prefer something sweeter or less sweet. Aside from boba milk tea, I regularly get OoFusion's Thai tea slushie. You can also get it in a regular tea form, but I prefer the slushie.
A number of my coworkers have birthdays this week, so I decided to treat them to the "exotic" boba milk tea at OoFusion. None of them have ever had boba milk tea before, and all but one loved the drink. My coworker who didn't like boba milk tea is more of a smoothie drinker, and I told him that OoFusion also sells smoothies. I also got everyone some dessert from the shop - a box of assorted macaroons that were eaten faster than the boba milk tea were consumed! So I'm glad I made the trip to OoFusion today. It was a wonderful birthday surprise for my coworkers.
Until next time!
