This
show is inspired by Lauren VanArman’s love of the amazing architectural
structures found in nature. Growing up with two biologist parents has
influenced her art and encouraged an expression of nature using a variety of
wire jewelry and beading methods. Her background in architectural and
mechanical drafting provides a way to plan and execute intricate insect
structures in 3D forms. By integrating her understanding of their balanced
proportions and colors with jewelry techniques she aims to add aesthetic value
and draw awareness to the beauty of this part of the animal kingdom.
